ACCRINGTON Stanley boss has admitted that the future of loan stars Godwin Antwi and David Martin are in Liverpool’s hands, after asking them if they can return to Stanley next season.

Both players have helped Stanley avoid the drop, and Coleman told The Lancashire Telegraph of how he has asked Liverpool if he can keep the duo next season.

But their future depends on Anfield gaffer, Rafa Benitez, yes I’m a poet and I didn’t know it.

‘We are looking at what Liverpool are thinking,’ said Coleman to the Lancashire Telegraph.

‘They might have aspirations for them to play a little bit higher.

‘But they’ve enjoyed their time here and I know if they do stay they will get looked after.

‘There’s a smashing character about them and a smashing attitude.

‘They’ve always been the type of players that I’ve tried to sign at this club, certainly since me and Jimmy have been here.

‘We will always try to get players where football means something to them.’
