On loan goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has said that Stanley need to maintain their belief and confidence as we head into our next three games.

With manager James Beattie making clear what these potential nine point run of games could do for our season, Bettinelli has called on us to make a dent in our more troublesome home form and the capitalise on our much better away form given two of the games are on our travels.

Speaking to the Official Site he explained.

‘It’s just the way it’s gone. We know we need to improve on our home form. We’ve got a great away record, especially in the last couple of games but we need to start picking up points at home and putting in good performances.’

Looking back to the Scunthorpe loss, the keeper says we simply have to take the positives from the game and build on them, and not dwell on how we managed to lose all the points from a winning position.

That will certainly be the case against Bury, as he’ll be looking for us to perform how we did, but this time not make the errors and slip ups that we did previously, so we come out with the result that we deserve.

‘We’re not out of trouble, everyone knows that. We had a tough start but we’ve done really well to get to where we are and we need to carry that on.’

Bettinelli says our performances against those teams near the top of the table should give everyone the belief they need to know that we can replicate it against those teams struggling and really make it count.
