IT’S finally here! A Pre-Season home game for Accrington Stanley! It felt like it was never going to come at one point but I have to say, the build up has gone extremely fast.

Owen Coyle brings his Burnley side to the Fraser Eagle Stadium for the first time since his appointment as manager in November when he replaced the departed Steve Cotterill and has wasted little time in building his squad.

Peruvian international goalkeeper Diego Penny will provide tough competition for Accrington’s front men at the weekend having completed his signing from Coronel Bolognesi, and it gets tougher for Stanley’s front men with the signing of Christian Kalvenez who was voted as Scotland’s Premier League’s best left back last season.

Kevin McDonald and Remco van der Schaaf are the two midfield aquisitions for the Clarets, with both being held in high regard already by the management staff at Turf Moor.

Coyle will have the club’s record signing available for the game aswel, with £1.3million signing Martin Paterson set to spearhead the attack following two goals in two games whilst on the club’s tour of Scotland.
