ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman has confirmed that he has made enquiries about the availability of former goalkeeper Kenny Arthur.

Arthur left the Crown Ground just 12 months ago, signing for Rochdale, but lost his place in Keith Hill’s side after picking up a back injury.

After that Kenny struggled to find his feet again at Spotlands, and following the club’s promotion to League One has been transfer listed with Rochdale not wanting any fee for his services.

The 31-year-old Scot is also interesting relegated Grimsby Town, who almost took the stopper on loan towards the end of last season, only for the deal to fall through.

Stanley gaffer Coleman told the Rochdale Observer: “I have spoke to Keith Hill about Kenny and, at the moment, it is just a case of watch this space.”
