Leam Richardson still has no idea why Will Hatfield’s potential winner on 86 minutes was disallowed for being offside.

Talking to the media following the game, Richardson said embarrassing errors like this from the officials has cost the club points on a number of occasions throughout the season but this one was just bizarre as the player was ‘miles onside’.

‘He wasn’t just onside, he was miles onside. A few decisions like that have happened to us this season and they add up. The decision is not even close, I would like to hear their explanation when they have seen it again.’

Richardson says he did speak to the officials after the game and they maintain they are right, but the replay doesn’t lie and everybody will clearly know who’s right and who’s wrong when the highlights show has finished later tonight.

In pleasing news for the manager though, he was happy to see us put in a shift that should’ve resulted in all three points, and he was delighted with back to back cleansheets from the last two games, and he’s called on the team to keep this going and take confidence from it, so we can claw our way up the table in the remaining games.
