Leam Richardson has said he hopes that resting James Beattie and Luke Joyce against Northampton will do them the world of good for our next match.
Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph the manager explained that ever present Joyce needed a break, and Beattie needed to recharge his batteries, and he felt it was better to add a few fresh legs to mix things up – even though the result went against us.
‘Luke has played every minute all season and he’s been fantastic for us. It wasn’t a case of leaving him out, it was a case of giving someone else a game with fresh legs. The same with James as well because we’ve got a lot of games this month.’
