RUMOUR has it today that Coca-Cola Championship side Derby County are lining up a shock move for Accrington Stanley striker Michael Symes in the January transfer window.

Skysports.com claims that Nigel Clough is ready to pounce Stanley’s 13 goals top scorer in the coming weeks to try to solve his sides’ problems in front of goal.

The 26-year-old former Everton frontman would require a three-figure fee from the Pride Park outfit to prize him away from the Crown Ground though.

County may try to tempt John Coleman’s hand with a loan deal with promises of cash installments.
