RUMOUR has it that Accrington Stanley are set to sign striker Drewe Broughton following his release from League Two Champions Milton Keynes Dons.
Broughton, 29, joined the MK Dons at the beginning of the 2007/08 season having impressed on trial with Paul Ince’s men, but after just one season at Stadium:MK he was released.
He managed just 13 appearances in the white of Milton Keynes before moving onloan to Wrexham towards the end of the season where he managed just two goals in 16 appearances.
Since 1997 Broughton has turned out for no fewer than FIFTEEN clubs:
Norwich City, Wigan Athletic (loan), Brentford, Peterborough United, Nuneaton Borough (loan), Dagenham & Redbridge (loan), Stevenage Borough (loan), Kidderminster Harriers (loan), Kidderminster Harriers, Southend United, Rushden & Diamonds (loan), Wycombe Wanderers (loan), Rushden & Diamonds, Chester City, Boston United (loan), Milton Keynes Dons amd Wrexham (loan).
…Get that? Me neither!
