Shhhhh! Deadline day passes

THE multi-million pound deals were no where to be seen at Accrington Stanley’s Crown Ground last night, as the final say of the summer transfer window drew to a close.

Stanley’s gaffer John Coleman completed his final piece of business on Tuesday afternoon with the capture of defender Thomas Bender, who joined on a season long loan from League One side Colchester United.

We understand that the Reds Chief did have other targets, but failed to land them before Wednesday’s 11pm deadline. However with the emergency loan window reopening next week, expect to see one or two more additions to Accrington’s squad.
