OKAY, the christmas songs are over and done with for another year, but just as Shaking Stevens’ record was being tucked away back into the collection, we need it again.

Sounds about right, eh?

But this time the sudden snow fall has led to Accrington’s home F.A. Cup Third Round game with League One side Gillingham to be called off, with ground staff being left helpless.

Three hours of snow fell on the Crown Ground, meaning that aswel as over night frost, a thick layer of snow covered the playing surface when the pitch was inspected by a match official at 10am.

The unforcasted weather snap now means that our next game is next Saturday away at Lincoln City, kick off 3.00pm.

A very snowy Crown Ground.
