ACCRINGTON Stanley fell to a 90th minute sucker punch at the Fraser Eagle Stadium on Saturday afternoon as table topping Wycombe Wanderers were dealt their slice of luck.
In what was a highly uneventful game in East Lancashire, Peter Taylor’s men stole all three points through Chris Zebroski’s last minute strike, when Stanley could have claimed the points themselves just moments earlier.
The goal itself was a controvesial one as Stanley’s back four all claimed for an offside decision against Zebroski who rounded Kenny Arthur to slot the ball home to end the Reds’ two game winning run.
Terry Gornell, almost added his fourth goal in four games in the famous Red of Accrington Stanley, but the Tranmere Rovers loanee saw his header cleared off the line in just the 52nd minute.
