ACCRINGTON STANLEY will be hoping to put memories of defeat at MK Dons behind them on boxing day, as John Coleman takes his Stanley side to Grimsby, looking to avenge the 5-0 drumming handed out last time Stanley played away from home

The last time Stanley played away from home it resulted in an emphatic 5-0 defeat at stadium:mk at the hands of Paul Ince’s promotion worthy side, MK Dons. But it was completely against the form books, as Stanley held one of the best away records in the division going in to the game.

In the last two meetings between Stanley and Grimsby, Coleman’s men have managed to smash eight goals past The Marriners, whilst Grimsby have only hit the back of the net on two occassions. With the scoreline being 4-1 in both fixtures.

When Stanley beat Grimsby 4-1 at the Fraser Eagle Stadium earlier in the season, doubles from Paul Mullin and Andy Procter got the points for Stanley, and the Reds will be looking to make it a league double at Blundell Park.

Full Match Preview will be coming on Christmas Day, as we pick up the team news for both sides.
