ACCRINGTON Stanley have today completed the signing of ex-Scottish International goalkeeper Kenny Arthur on a free transfer from Partick Thistle.

The 6’3′ stopper arrives at the Fraser Eagle Stadium on a one-year contract. Before joining Stanley, Arthur, 28, was Partick’s longest serving player with over 250 appearances for the Scottish outfit.

Arthur earned himself a call up to the national set-up in 2003, but failed to make an appearances, although he was an unused substitute in the games against New Zealand, Austria and Lithuania.

His capture adds to the aquisitions of Macclesfield’s John Miles and Burton Albion’s Paul Cardon.
