BLACKBURN Rovers defender Dean Winnard has completed his move to Accrington Stanley after being told he was to be released by the Premier League outfit last week.
Winnard, 19, is a versitile player and can line up in a number of positions including; central defence, right and left full back aswel as central midfield, and will be a vital player for the Reds in the coming season.
He has been in East Lancashire with Blackburn since the age of nine, progressing up the ladder at Ewood Park, where he has pulled on the captains armband for both the Academy and Reserve teams.
The youngster impressed management duo John Coleman and Jimmy Bell during a brief trial spell at the Fraser Eagle Stadium, where he turned out for the club’s Reserves.
