FORMER Burnley duo Ben Hoskin and Liam Newman, have joined Accrington Stanley on trial in an attempt to win contracts with the club.
Hoskin, who was offered a one-year professional contract by former Burnley manager Owen Coyle at the end of the 2008/09 season, failed to make a competitive appearance for the Clarets and was released by new gaffer Brian Laws.
While Welsh Under 19s international midfielder Newman failed to earn a new deal at Turf Moor after coming to the end of his youth apprenticeship last season.
Also joining them is former Macclesfield Town captain Sean Hessey and defender Curtis Wynter who has just been released by Championship side Coventry City.
