VITAL Accrington Stanley can confirm that there will be pitch inspection at the Fraser Eagle Stadium on Friday afternoon ahead of Stanley’s clash with Brentford.

Brentford are due to travel to East Lancashire on Saturday 6th January, but due to the recent weather conditions in the county, a pitch inspection will be forced apon the club.

As of Thursday 4th Decemeber the Fraser Eagle pitch is frozen with a thick layer of snow laying on top after recent blizzards and sub zero climates. And therefore a pitch inspection is planned to take place on Friday (5th December) so that Brentford fans won’t have to make a pointless journey north.

There is currently a severe weather warning in place in the Accrington area but the band of snow, will spread from the west during the early hours of Thursday and continue during the morning, clearing away eastwards and becoming confined to north eastern England by the early afternoon.

Vital Accrington Stanley will keep all fans up to date with weather forecasts ahead of the big match on Saturday!
