IAN Dunbavin has undergone a double hernia injury this week and will be out for upto another four weeks yet, whilst first year professional Peter Murphy has been ruled out for the season.
Murphy, 18, damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in a reserve match against Carlisle earlier this month and is due to go under the knife later this month should the injury not improve, but it has been confirmed that he will be out until next season.
Stanley’s number two goalkeeper Dunbavin came off worst in a challenge during a reserve game, and has undergone an operation, meanwhile young winger Bobby Grant is expected back in training next week after having an operation on his knee in August.
