ACCRINGTON Stanley are remaining optimistic in having midfielder Andrew Procter available for this weekend’s clash with Luton Town after he limped out of Tuesday’s defeat at Shrewsbury.
Procter limped out of the 2-0 defeat in midweek with an Achilles injury after just 36 minutes but assistant manager Jimmy Bell insists the substitution was just a precaution ahead of the massive game at the weekend.
‘His Achilles was sore on Tuesday night, but he came off more as a precaution,’ Bell told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
‘Hopefully it will have settled down enough after 48 hours and we’ll assess it.’
