STRIKE duo Robert Grant and Michael Symes have been offered new extended contracts by Accrington Stanley in a bid to keep them at the club beyond the summer.

Rumours have been growing over the pair in recent weeks with Symes being linked with a move to Derby County before fresh reports in todays tabloids that Roy Keane may be poised to make an offer for the services of Grant.

The pair have netted 25 goals so far this term, but Stanley could lose out on both men if new contracts aren’t tied up quickly. Symes could leave on a free transfer in the summer, with Grant able to leave with a tribunal fee due to his age.

Chief Executive Rob Heys told Press Association Sport: ‘Both Michael and Bobby have been fantastic for us this season. We are very keen for them to stay at the Crown Ground and build on what they have achieved so far for us – they are both in our long-term plans.’

The club hope to have both deals completed before Saturday’s trip to Lincoln City.
