ACCRINGTON STANLEY gaffer John Coleman has insisted that teams get a real shock when they visit the Fraser Eagle Stadium, and when Brentford ride in to town tomorrow for the first time in almost 47 years, it will be no different.
‘They’ve been showing promotion form under their new manager.’ Coleman declared whilst talking to the Lancashire Telegraph.
‘We’ve got to hope that will be drawing to a close tomorrow.
The last time Stanley and Brentford met was back in March 1960, when the Bees came out on top in a narrow 4-3 defeat at Peel Park, and so tomorrow’s visitors will have never have played at The Fraser Eagle Stadium before.
‘It’s a difficult one because they won’t know what our ground is about.
‘Some people get a real shock when they come here.
‘I know I sometimes still get a shock when I turn up.
‘We’ve got to try to build on that and make it as uncomfortable as possible for them.’
