JUST days before the new season kicks off, Accrington Stanley have been found to have the cheapest season ticket in town, no the county, oh no the cheapest ticket in the country.

To watch the fantastic Reds strut their stuff in npower League Two for a full season, the cost is just £230, a price which is not only the cheapest in the League, but the lowest price of all 92 professional football clubs.

Stanley’s League Two rivals Bradford City, Hereford Town, Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale are the next four bargain tickets, costing just a little bit extra than that which the Crown Ground has on offer.

Surprisingly, Wigan Athletic, a Premier League club, are offering their season tickets for their 2010/11 campaign for just £295, a price which is lower than most even at League Two level.

Arsenal offer the most expensive season ticket in the country at £1,825, with the most expensive single ticket for a match at the Emirates costing £94.

This means that for the cost of three single tickets to watch the Gunners, would get you into a total of 23 games with Stanley, and leave you with £50 change to spend on yourself.

Ipswich Town offer a season ticket that costs more than the equivalent that Manchester United offer. Football really has gone mad!

Don’t get me started on Manchester City trying to buy football…
