ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman has admitted that the signing of Rochdale winger Kallum Higginbotham on loan until November, could prove a massive boost to the club.
The 19-year-old joined on Thursday morning on a month long loan deal after falling out of favour at Spotland, and Coleman believes that the signing could just turn around Stanley’s fortunes in the league.
The Reds are now without a win in eight games in all competitions, with just one point being picked up out of a possible 21. Stanley’s last win came at the Fraser Eagle Stadium in August when Macclesfield Town were defeated 2-0.
Coleman told the Accrington Observer: “Kallum has impressed me every time I have seen him play and that`s three or four times.
“The signing of him might give us a lift going the other way.
“He now has to grab his chance here to put himself in the spotlight again after not making Rochdale`s side. It is difficult to do that when you aren`t playing and frustrating so this gives him a good opportunity.”
