ACCRINGTON STANLEY gaffer John Coleman has signed Charlton Athletic’s young centre back Aswad Thomas on an initial one month loan deal.

Thomas, 18, can also play at left back along with a role in the centre of the back four. He has also been named in the squad that is to face Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Thomas impressed Coleman whilst playing alongside ex-Stanley stoppers Darren Randolph and Rob Elliot for the Addicks’ reserves string.

Meanwhile, left winger Billy Dennehy has returned to Sunderland after completing his loan deal with Accrington.
