Accrington Stanley went in to the game looking on the bright side of things and how things would be if they get their craved win a Gay Meadow. But following a 2-1 defeat to Shrewsbury the mood has some what changed.

Boston United and Wrexham both scored late goals to beat Chester City and Torquay United respectively, by one goal to nil. The disasterous day leaves Stanley just two points from relegation with two games left before the end of the season. The next gae is at the Fraser Eagle Stadium when Stanley entertain Paul Ince’s Macclesfield Town.

Look on the bright side though Stanley fans. The last two times we have lost away, we have gone back to the Fraser Eagle and torn opposition apart. We lost to Walsall 3-2 down at their place, back to the Fraser Eagle we brush Peterborough aside with a 3-2 win of our own. We hit the road again and lose agai, this time a 1-0 defeat to Hartlepool, we com back home and we beat Grimsby 4-1.

But the fight for league to survival continues to rage on.

Come on Stanley!
