EARLIER today we asked viewers of Vital Accrington Stanley, what you thought the outcome of today’s game with Doncaster Rovers would be. Here is what you thought…

Amazingly, no one at all thinks Accrington will win the tie, whether it be in normal time, extra time or via a penalty shoot out.

The npower Championship side Rovers are being backed by 68% of our readers to win in normal time and send John Coleman’s men out of the Carling Cup at the first hurdle.

The remaining 32% are split half and half, with Doncaster winning in extra time also being backed by 16%, while the same ammount have chosen to opt for a Rovers penalty win.

Our score prediction for the game is Doncaster Rovers 2-0 Accrington Stanley, and I think it will happen in normal time, meaning we agree with the majority of you.

BUT – it is a cup game remember and anything at all can happen. Rovers are without goal scoring hitman Billy Sharp, who is rested, but Stanley themselves have been hit by injuries.

Let the game commence!
