IPSWICH TOWN midfielder Gary Roberts has today joined Crewe Alexander on an initial one month loan deal, an agreement which could see the loan extended.
The former Accrington Stanley midfielder joined Championship outfit Ipswich Town on loan last season, before eventually completing a £220,000 to Portman Road.
He hasn’t enjoyed life at Ipswich since joining though, and has recently had a lenghty spell on the sidelines, with Jim Magiltion overlooking the Stanley favourite.
John Coleman last month made an attempt to bring Roberts back on loan, but after watching Stanley’s 8-2 drumming at Peterborough last month, decided against the move.
That now leaves Crewe with two Gary Roberts, both playing in a similar position.
