John Coleman has signed Alan Rodgers on a free transfer. The left-back joins after a number of un-successful attempts to sign the defender last season.

Rogers joins after leaving his previous club Bradford City in October. Rogers who is now 30 years of age will make his League Two debut against Notts County on Saturday.

The defender started his career at Tranmere Rovers before moving on to Leicester City. Nottingham Forest then paid £2m for his signature in 1997.


Meanwhile, Gary Roberts who signed on loan for Coca-Cola Championship side Ipswich Town, has now joined the Tractor Boys on a perminent deal after impressing new manager Jim Magilton.
