YET another game involving Accrington Stanley is under threat, this time it’s Rotherham United’s Don Valley Stadium that is frozen solid.

Vital Accrington understand that any standing snow has been cleared from the playing surface, but the nightly minus temperatures in the area have left the pitch rock hard.

Paul Douglas, Rotherham United’s Chief Operating Officer told The Advertiser: ‘Although the Accrington game is still five days away the pitch at Don Valley is rock hard.

‘We have the new frost covers but there is no chance when it is as cold as it is at the moment. To stand a chance of getting the game on, we need temperatures of up to four or five degrees on Monday along with some warmer air.`

Yeah good luck getting those temperatures Paul. We are currently minus 2.
