Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock has set Stanley target Luke Rodgers a deadline in which he should decide on a move to Swindon.

Sturrock had an offer for the Crewe Alexandra forward Luke Rodgers accepted in midweek but is demanding an answer soon.

The long time Stanley target’s agent revealed that Luke is reluctant to drop down to League Two.

‘There has been a lot of talk, but as yet there is no headway,’ Sturrock told Swindon’s Official site.

‘We have been in negotiations and we have agreed the financial terms required and that is exactly where it is at the moment.

‘The player has played in the Championship last year and is now in League One, so he is mulling over the offer.

‘I have set him a deadline because I have other players to move on.’
