ACCRINGTON Stanley take on Darlington on Saturday afternoon, just four days after an early Carling Cup exit at the hands on Championship outfit Leicester City at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.

The Reds got off to a flying start in the league last weekend though, with a 58th minute Paul Mullin header sealing all three points for John Coleman’s side whilst away at Adams Park home of Wycombe Wanderers.

It was Darlington who played out the opening League home game of the season last time around, and the result was 2-0 in the favour of Darlo, a scoreline Coley will be hoping to reverse.

Accrington Stanley Team News:

Stanley only have one injury worry ahead of the game and are playing the waiting game to see if newboy Paul Carden will recover in time from an minor calf strain picked up in training, he also missed the opening day victory over Wycombe and the Carling Cup First Round defeat to Leicetser on Tuesday evening.

Roscoe D’Sane could come in to the squad after he wasn’t selected in the 16 for either of the first two games. Graham Branch is set to return to the squad after being left out for the Leicester game.

John Miles, Kenny Arthur and Mark Roberts are set to continue in the Stanley squad after signing over the summer.

Player to watch: Graham Branch

Branchy will be a real threat to the Darlington defence if he is playing in an attacking role, and a threat to the Quakers strike force if in the heart of the defence.
